Moving #12 up so that I can keep all the ship questions together; I'm skipping the crack pairing question.
I quite like the idea of Lin Jing/Sha Ya, but is it even a rarepair if I've only ever seen it mentioned as a one-off line in a story which was centred on two other couples? Never mind, I'm going with that! I have quite a soft spot for Lin Jing, Sha Ya is badass and has the best hair, and that ring was such a beautiful gift. It was downright vindictive how the writers brought about the "reunion" Lin Jing promised Sha Ya. I was honestly furious about that, because it was such a pointless death.

branchandroot's amazing fusion 'verse, Changes, which sets about righting several wrongs in drama canon by cleverly incorporating selected elements from the novel, and has recently addressed the Sha Ya issue as well!
